SOUNDART at Sintons, Newcastle
Three SOUND ART pieces were installed throughout Sintons’ Newcastle offices, introducing acoustic performance through colour, texture and sculptural form.
Each piece responds differently to its setting, creating visual identity within circulation and shared spaces while helping to soften the acoustic character of the workplace.
Acoustic Art as Part of the Interior
Rather than treating acoustic control as a separate technical layer, SOUND ART allows it to become part of the architecture of the space.
Inspired by the textures found in nature, SOUNDART introduces depth and rhythm to interior surfaces while helping to reduce reverberation and soften the acoustic environment. The result is a calmer, more comfortable space that supports focus, wellbeing and everyday activity.
Across the Sintons installation, contrasting forms and colours create rhythm along the walls, giving each area its own character while contributing to a more considered acoustic environment.

The three installations use different colours, forms and compositions, but share the same principle, combining acoustic function with a strong visual presence.
Together, they create a consistent design language across the Sintons offices while allowing each part of the workplace to retain its own identity.
